Cisco IP Telephony Lab Question??

Hi everyone,

I have a very simple question I wanted to ask in regards to a Cisco IP Telephony Lab I want to setup.

I currently have the following components:

Cisco MCS 7830 Server
Call Manager 3.3(3)
Two Cisco IP Phone 7940
Two Cisco 2611 Routers (with no Voice modules)

For the lab I want to have two routers back-to-back via HDLC. One segment will have the Call Manager Server and one IP Phone. The other segment will have the other IP Phone where it would communicate with the Call Manager Server on the other segment.

My question is .. do I need anything specific for the Routers connected together which do not have any Voice Modules today? I don't think I need anything for the router because the IP Phone will connect between LAN and will be configured to talk to the Call Manager (if I'm thinking that concept correctly??) Also, I don't care about dialing external numbers only communication between the two phones to understand Call Manager a little more.

Please let me know your recommendations and thoughts?

Thanks in advanced
