Cisco IOS- Crypto Commands (Using Router for VPN Termination)

I am in the middle of configuring a Cisco 2621 for VPN termination for VPN clients. I do not know why I do not have the group option for the crypto command available for any of the IOSes I have tried and I have tried several.

Basically, I type
"crypto isakmp client configuration" and the only option I have for this is "address-pool" rather than my desired entry of "crypto isakmp client configuration group xxx" Is there something I am missing or something I need to do first to enable group for isakmp? Please help, I have no clue what I am missing. Thanks.

crypto isakmp policy 1
encr 3des
authentication pre-share
group 2
crypto isakmp xauth timeout 15

needs to be done first.
