I currently have a Cisco 5300 with the interface set as primary-net5 connected to a Fujitsu 9600. The problem is that the 9600 truncates calling numbers from the 5300 to 5 digits (the length of our internal number plan) for calls transiting the 9600.

I have been told that we can overcome this problem by changing to QSIG. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Also, can you help with a list of the facilities available via QSIG from the 9600?

Thanks,
John (jgm@deakin.edu.au)

The F9600 only supports two features from the QSig standard, calling number id and station name. That answer sounds like the "standard" Cisco babble referencing QSig. Their answer to everything.
The F9600 could accomplish the translation through access codes and digit manipulation. (Presuming you're trying to route calls over a span to the Cisco box)
