Has anyone taken a question that involves a SIMULATION and wondered if you have to save your configuration before you exit the question or if you have to step back from CONFIG mode to user mode?

I am having this delema as well. I have been told by a Cisco Authorized Education teacher and from test takers who have passed the exam, different answers.

Does anyone know what the story is with saving config or not? What about exiting back to USER MODE? Thanks!

Weakness,
Someone posted in another post about the same thing a link to Cisco FAQ that said you did not have to save your config.

I have taken 4 different Cisco exams with a total of 7 different sims(and passed them all) and on EVERYONE I ran "copy run start" and I exited the router when I was done.

I have passed them all and on 2 of the exams after reviewing my notes I knew exactly which 2 questions on one and 3 questions on the other I had missed - and they were not the sims.

The best advice I got at Networkers from the head of the CCNA exam team was to treat the router/switch just like you would at work. Of course he could not say any more !!!

It takes about 5 seconds to type "copy run start" and then "exit" Get in the habbit of treating it like the "real thing" and you will not miss little steps on what they are grading.

Good luck !!

I can't find the link in Cisco here but you do NOT need to type "copy run start" to get the credit.
If I do find the link, I will post it up.
