Configured CISCO 2651 routers, and 3550 powered switches

Recently we had a power outage [downed powerlines from storm] which of course affected the network and voIP systems briefly during failover.

We didn't seem to lose system integrity during this issue. However when power had come back up there was a noticable issue regarding display on our 7960/7940 series voIP phones. Intermittently, attendants are reporting when making calls out, it shows "0" as shown in quotes. This does not affect the call or the integrity of the call, but for our call center management, this is causing an issue when running reports. Cisco had advised us to power down and restart after hours, which was done. However, this has not resolved the issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance for your help

I would download the latest firmware for you phones (one was just released) and put it on your tftp server. Have the phones download it and see if tht fixes your issue.

It is a very strange problem.

We've already done the firmware upgrade. Have you had/heard of this issue before?

No I have not. Sorry.

Are these phones possible hitting a translation pattern or a gateway with a linetextlabel of 0

I don't think that could be the case. Everything worked fine until the power outage. Nothing was reconfigured.

Get a backup of the Publisher and recreate the cluster. Do it on another server and see if you get the same issue.
