I have read the dialer map command to be:
dialer map [protocol] [nx hop] [name] [dial string].
I am studying for CCNA test. I have read name should be
either remote_router_hostname or must match a username on
the remote router. Which should it be? Does it change by
configuration? I am studying this relating to an
Isdn bri interface with DDR. Thank you.

That does not answer his question, but this should...

This is more with ddr, and with OSPF thrown in---my CCNA test had "default-information originate always" with ISDN, but that was 4 years ago---MUCH has changed since...

There is NO ISDN on the CCNA exam anymore. Don't waste time learning dialer maps or dialer profiles or ISDN reference points for BRI or PRI. Read the links for informative purposes but not for CCNA exam purposes.

Interesting. I had to learn ISDN, but that was three years ago. Any DSL on the new CCNA?
