CISCO CPU

We are experiencing problems with one of internet routers. The CPU keeps running up to 100% for up two 15 secs.

The Process that is using this is BGP Scaner. Any ideas whether the error below could be causing this. We run our own BGP sessions with our ISP.

I'd say you have "clock slip" or loss of clocking for a brief second or two. Which is enough to have BGP have to rebuild it's route tables.

THe clue is the 1436 slip sec notation.. this is what cisco says"
Indicates the replication or deletion of the payload bits of a domestic trunk interface (DS1) frame. A slip might happen when there is a difference between the timing of a synchronous receiving terminal and the received signal.
