We are installing IP telephony on an G3R10 and we are getting network interuptions when we plug our CLAN and Medpro cards directly into a Cisco Catlyst 3500 switch. If we leave them plugged into the CentreCom MR820t hub, the network connection is fine. We want the faster connection that the Cisco switch offers. Is there any options that need to be set on the Cisco 3500?

thanks,

I've had problems like that on the MedPro boards with an older firmware version, but V10 is new, and should all have new firmwares on them... One thing to do is on the Cisco Switch is to nail the connection speeds to 100mb full duplex..

You have a R10 so use the command "change ethernet" and lock the ethernet ports on the Definity to the speeds etc to match the Cisco switch. There are many problems with auto-negotation in this enviroment.

Thanks
Chris
