NO number-unobtainable playback from FXS Port
==============================================

Hi Guy's

I have an issue that I need to sort on a network I have to finish by next week. The network consists of FXS's phones on 5x1861 service routers and 3xVG224's connected to two gateways "Nortel Meridian OPT11's".The problem I have is if I dial a number not in the cisco dial plan of dial off switch through the Meridians to a non configured number all I get is a busy tone as if the end user was on the phone!

I need to get the number-unobtainable tone to generate if this happens, if I don't the users will keep dialling the wrong number and eventually call the help desk to report a fault that dose not exist!

Apart from that the network is up and running fine, calls are possessed etc,etc.

Any ideas?

Several thoughts come to mind.. First have you thought about inserting a dial-peer for the other extensions and forwarding to a operator or port?

I was also wondering if you could insert a Voice Translation rule... I know you can block incoming Numbers and insert a call-block disconnect-cause incoming call-reject... Just a thought but hopfully puts you in the right direction...

This is what I was trying to do!!

How to change/Customize the Standard Tones and Cadence's
First you need to customize the "c1" CPTONE settings

Router(config)#voice class custom-cptone 1
Router(config-voice-class)#dualtone busy
Router(config-voice-class)#dualtone out-of-service
Router(config-voice-class)#dualtone number-unobtainable

Now apply the Custom-cptone to ALL the voice ports you want to use it with

Router(config-voiceport)#cptone c1

I still need to find the correct tone and Cadence for the UK NU and BUSY as the Cisco one's are incorrect.
