Hi. I am a nortel tech and need some help.
I have a cs1000 release 5 system which needs to be tie with CISCO CME through E1/QSIG.
The CISCO guys on site dont have any experience in integrating such setup with Nortel through E1 and
they need our help in CISCO CME voice router setting for E1 with Nortel PBX.
Can i get help in this? Can i get a sample document for setting of CISCO CME voice router for E1 connectivity with Nortel PBX? Or a PDF document having CME voice router setting for E1 with Nortel.
I will be very thankful if i get help from yours site.
Regards

I could not find a specific doc for nortel-cme e1 integration but I found a couple for NEC and erickson. The router config should be the same or get you about 95% there. Also attaching a generic qsig E1 config link for you.
I am assuming here that you know how to configure the Nortel side.

Just tell the cisco guys ot configure the E1 as normal check whether they are the Net side or user side, where they are clocking from, and use QSIG.

From Nortel

Configure as ISO QIG, in LD17 - D Channel make sure the signalling is STD not ESN ?????? when you do a debug Q931 or MSGO on the D channel if you leave the D channel as standard the digits that are sent are the NCOS followed by the actual DN fro travelling NCOS - CCM will think that all the digits are vaild numbers and you will get an error - unassigned number. By changing the set up to STD from ESN ???? then Nortel will only send the actual DN number instead . You may need to play around with features on the D Channel via LD 17 with regards to the network features though - names, MWI etc Most of it is standard, default
