cisco catalyst 3550 problems

Our switch is giving us issues and I can't understand what's going on, it used to work fine, but now when I try to access it in console I get the following:

The system is not configured to boot automatically. The

The system light on the front of the unit is blinking green and all the port lights except 1/2 are lit. any help or suggestions much appreciated.
 
Hi,

I searched abit for you. My first thought would be that there is a wrong register setting for boot, but as can be seen in de following doc there isn't any in this switch :s


The system messages you describe are similar to this document:


Try to follow this doc and see if it resolves the issue.
If not I'm afraid there is something amiss with the mode button.
