Cisco Catalyst 3512XL Problem

I have a 3512XL that I want to connect to my company's network using one of the 10/100 ports. I have it plugged into the network jack but there is no link light. I'm pretty sure the jack is live.

I'm trying to share the connection with servers connected to other 10/100 ports on the switch. Is there anything else I need to configure?

There is nothing else you need to configure. If you get no link light, then the port is probably not live or you are using the wrong cable.

If you're connecting to another switch makle sure you're using a crossover cable.
