Cisco Catalyst 3000 Switch and CLI commands?

I just started working with the Cisco Catalyst 3000 switch. I don't have much documentation (tried cisco.com). When I startup the 3000 switch it starts up with menu screens. I prefer the familiar IOS CLI commands. How do you get the 3000 to accept CLI commands: enable, config t, show, etc...
Any information will be helpful.

The Cat3K is menu driven only.
