HI!

I have this kind of problem:

I have Cisco Catalyst 2900XL and Baystack 450-24T switches. Both switches has three VLAN. Trunk link between two baystack switches is working well, but the trunk link between Cisco and Baystack is not working so well.

I have set the cisco port to a trunk and used type dot1.q and then set the trunk on the Baystack as tagged a member of all the vlans. They are connected via fibre and the link is up and working fine. Also all ports work fine IF they are in VLAN 1 (in Cisco switch) but if I change any of Cisco switch port other VLAN then there is no response that port.

I have tried almoust everything and I'm losing my hope!
Please give me some HELP !

VLAN 1 is your Native VLAN, correct? What is the VLAN type on the BayStack?
Can you post your configs here? Todd VanDerwerken, CCNA, CCDA

Yes VLAN 1 is native VLAN. If I change native VLAN in cisco switch, it works the same way...
In Bay VLAN 1 I have servers and printers, that is why all port is member of VLAN 1
Here is my Bay VLAN configs, port 25 is connected to cisco and all VLAN has port 25 as tagged member of VLAN.

VLAN Configuration

Create VLAN: [ 1 ] VLAN Type:[ Port-Based ]
Delete VLAN: [ ] Protocol Id (PID):[ None ]
VLAN Name: [VLAN #1] User-Defined PID: [ 0x0000 ]
Management VLAN: [ Yes ] VLAN State: [ Active ]

Port Membership
1-6 7-12 13-18 19-24 25-28
------ ------ ------ ------ ------
Unit #1 TUUUUU UUUUUU UUUUUU UUUUUU TTTU

KEY: T = Tagged Port Member, U = Untagged Port Member, - = Not a Member of VLAN
Use space bar to display choices or enter text.
Press Ctrl-R to return to previous menu. Press Ctrl-C to return to Main Menu.

VLAN Port Configuration
Port: [ 25 ]
Filter Tagged Frames: [ No ]
Filter Untagged Frames: [ No ]
Filter Unregistered Frames: [ No ]
Port Name: [ Port 25 ]
PVID: [ 1 ]
Port Priority: [ 0 ]
Tagging: [TaggedTrunk ]

AutoPVID (all ports): [ Disabled ]

It works the same if port 25 PVID is 2 or 3.
Does PVID value means same as in cisco native VLAN number?
