Does anyone know if sqlserver is the backend to the directories on Cisco IP phones?

I have a separate phone directory listing in Oracle. I like to have the Cisco IP phone directories point to the Oracle directory. Documentation on Cisco website does not have detailed information of the set of the directories.

williey,

the directory on the phones is stored in dc directory, and can be pointed to an external ldap directory if you'd like. I can dig up some docs on it if it's still a problem for you.

what is the dc directory? When my web developer look at the current setup, he thinks he was rewrite the existing xmldirectory.asp script and customized it whichever way.

I have considered using the AD plugin but going that route will loose the caller id functionality since the system id callers by extensions rather than the 10 digit number.

williey,

the dc directory is the built in ldap directory that comes with callmanager - on your publisher, you should see dc directory administration and dc directory server under the start menu.
