Cisco Callmanager 6.1.3 Background Images for 7941/7961 1

HI Guys

It is possible to set on all 7941/7961 phoney by default another background image. so that no user have to to it by is owen?

You cannot push a background image to a phone. It has to be done locally on the ip set.

you can use the phone designer and set Controlled Devices to all the phones you want to change the image on in your profile, or set up a common phone profile for differnt model phones or even depts and make sure Enable End User Access to Phone Background Image Setting is checked and use phone designer again.

Ok i have got the Cisco Phone Designer.

But there i have got the Problem that wenn i want do Login in the Callmanager there the user is always wrong.

Wiche would be the right user to login from the Cisco Phone Designer to push the Images to all Phones?
Or i must add a new user with special rights for it?

I have enabled the Option in the System/ Enterprise Parameters.

Changing the background Image on the Phone localy works perfekt, but now to say about 200-300 End-Users how to Change the images isnt easy and not in my mind.

phone designer is for one phone only. It is not made to push out images. Instead it is made to be able for a user to control their own phone.

But if i have got a User where all phones are added so i controll with this one user all phones right?

For Phone Designer to work the PC it runs on must be plugged into the phone that you are changing. So it will only do 1 phone as whykap says. Other requirements are that it only works on newer phones and you must be at UCM 6.1 or above.

UCM 6.1 is no problem. And newer phones we have got at the Customers Site.

to push images out using the phone designer you must assicate them under your profile. i have done this to 100 + phones at the same time.

or you could make a generic account and associate all the phones to that profile.

So i was today at our customer.

I tryed with the phone designer to set a default klick to all 7941 and 7961 phones.

First i tryed it only in the it with 4 phones.

When i addes these 4 Phones to a special User for changin the background image.

In the phone designer i got in the right upper cornor these 4 phones with an drop down menu. As you see on the Screenshot.

@Iwontremember did you make it like this?

Or is there an option to chane all Phones with one klick?

yes, and if you hover over one of the phones it will give you the description.
whykap is correct it is really designed for one phone, but if you have the time you can push out an image to mulitple phones.

In the next two weeks i will be in contact with an Cisco Voice specialist. Perhaps he has got an idea how to push out the images for all phones. I will inform you if you like whats his advice.

When there is no other option to to this than i will do it like your way. Its a little bit of work for about 300 Phones but its more easier than to go localy to all phones and change it manualy.
