I have just received Cisco CallManager 5 (Red Hat Linux Bootable DVD), however we are still awaiting the documentation.

We have installed CallManager onto a test bed system and are able to log into the IPT interface, but unable to log into the CallManager Administrator interface.

We have create and enabled various account through IPT, however are unsure how to get into the Administration interface and start setting up phones on the test node.

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction for an online manual??

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks for the link "Iwontremember", it is acutally a useful document.

Unfortunately, when I get to the section "Browsing to Cisco CallManager Administration" under "Introduction", it says "Log in with your assigned administrative privileges", which simply wont work for me.

I setup the administration login and password during installation, yet I can only log into the IPT Platform using these credentials.

Mike

It gives you the login prompt on the web interface "http://[ip]/ccmadmin", but states the login details are invalid at every attempt.

Apart from during the intial installation, is it possible to change the admin username and password elsewhere, say under the IPT interface, but it didnt work. Also, im guessing "remote_account" isnt a login I should be using for the CallManager Administration pages.

Mike

Log in to the console or manage the server and reset the administrator password.
Hope this works...fingers crossed

I've already tried resetting it, even though I knew the password after entering it during install only 30 minutes earlier.

I must be doing something wrong (not sure if the administration account has to be enabled). Will try it again tomorrow.

make sure all callmanager services are running also. if that doesnt and all your doing is testing anyway, go ahead and set the password the same on all the accounts.

On CCM 5.0 you need to log in as administrator and then create a User and make them a Super User. But if you can't log in using administrator try Administrator. Drove me nuts, someone else built the system with a small 'a' and I always use 'A'. Username IS case sensative.

Also, try http:\\ip address\ccmadmin:8080. This will re-direct you to the HTTPS page.

make sure the www. service is running also, on a fresh build its 3rd from the bottom (at least on my box)

But if the services are not running you will not get to the ccmadmin page, through the web nor on console

I tried logging in this morning with the "CCMAdministrator" login and it logged straight in. The CallManager had been running over night without any changes, yet it worked without problems this morning.

All appears to be fine now. Thanks everyone for your replies.

Hi m1ke69
am having the same troubles that you appeared to have.
Did you log in on the web page with the username:CCMAdministrator and the password which you set on the very last setup page?
This is what I've tried and failled! I also tried unsuccessfully the leaving it overnight trick!
Anyone else any ideas?
I'm thinking that maybe you enabled the login inadvertantly from the CLI?
Anyone else any thoughts?

Thanks

Simon B

If you are using the default username... the login should be

username: CCMAdministrator
password: @YOURPASSWORD

Make sure you use the "@" before your password.

hope that helps!

Thanks SidRaVeN

I am not in front of the right box right now so cannot try this out.
Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Simon B

Hi SidRaVeN

Tried your tip but this didn't work.

Set up a new instal and created a new password eg xxxxxxx

Tried logging in with both

CCMAdministrator
xxxxxxx

and

CCMAdministrator
@xxxxxxx

but neither of these work!

Still trying though! I can't help thinking that the login needs to be enabled via the CLI still!

Any other thoughts?

Simon B

When you log into the CLI do you use administrator or Administrator?? It is case sensitive. Maybe try CCMadministrator. Can't hurt. You don't have to enable the CCMadministrator account. It is on by default.
