Avaya site 4 digits (3xxx - 5xxx )

Cisco site 6 digits ( 29xxxx )

We have an issue with the display on all Avaya endpoints when called from a cisco phones showing up with correct name
but extension field has the extension field broken up as

calls show up as :

John Smith
29.12.34

John is x 291234 but I don't see where the . are coming from ????

doesn't matter if its Cisco IP to Avaya Digital or Avaya IP
set

going to 6 digits in Cisco as we have multiple sites already on Cisco Call Manager

We are an Avaya site going to Cisco CallManager and are doing the setup between the 2 systems so that we can move departments and Buildings at different stages I am an Avaya Guy who is helping with the setup .....

I would imagine I see what is being sent :)

Cheers:)

ok So ...I figured out the issue from the Avaya to Cisco sets I had to have an entry in the public isdn numbering field to send along 4 digts to Cisco Sets ....now still working on the Cisco to Avaya Sets sending name and ext #
as "John Smith"
29.12.34

rather then :

"John Smith"
291234

Cheers:)

avayauser,

to remove dots you have to change dialplan parameters on Avaya.
Here is example of dial parameter screen:

Voice System name: S8700 - DIAL PLAN PARAMETERS

Local Node Number:
ETA Node Number:
ETA Routing Pattern:
UDP Extension Search Order: udp-table-first
6-Digit Extension Display Format: xx.xx.xx
7-Digit Extension Display Format: xxx-xxxx

You have to replace xx.xx.xx with xxxxxx. Also, you do it same thing for 7 digits extensions.

Let me know it this helps you.

Thanks ....I ended up finding it in the correct
screen since most sites had done 4 digits (AVAYA) udp range never had a need for this before :) but they are converting to Cisco 6 digits system wide since as all exsisting CISCO sites are 6 digits ......

Cheers:)
