My company leases out office space for new clients (start up company). We use Cisco Call Manager v.5 and an AT&T PRI provisioned with NI2. The problem is when our clients make outbound calls, the "called" caller ID diplays my company name, because the PRIs are registed to my company. I can spoof the number in caller ID, but this doesn't help. For example, Company A has a phone number of 630-555-1212. When Company A makes an outbound call, the called party's caller ID will display COMPANY B, instead of Company A, but shows the correct phone number of 630-555-1212. How can I change the name? I've contacted AT&T and went all of the way to the top of the telco team and they are still telling me that they cannot make any changes on their end. What piece of equipment do I need to purchase (even if it means managing it) to make these changes? My clients have asked that their calls not display as "unknown", as this won't help them out. Any suggestions?

Hi Jim- This is a real zoo...and I know exactly what you mean. There is a database called LIDB that ATT can update for you, but it is not for the faint of heart to convince them to do so. Alternatively, you might just have "no name" (number only) outbound or something like Executive Offices as the name. It is truly difficult and it won't get easier.
