our company is palnning to replace Merdian 1 61 C with a Cisco call manager,
they do not want to invest in a cisco wirless, that means all of our companions are dead

we have a spare Norstar Plus Modular ICS, MICS XC3.0 Vo 5.11 Sp: 30mcf 11 NAT with 1 companion card and an empty slot
is there is a way to hook the norstar to Cisco system so we do not loose the companions

thanks

you would have to integrate the MICS with call manager with a PRI. Then you can keep the companion phones but you would have to maintain and support two systems.

Thanks WhyKap
do we have to go thorough a software upgrad or XC3 will be ok
thanks again

Unless XC3 has any ISDN PRI bugs that would hinder the integration I don't see why you would need an upgrade. Post a question on the Norstar thread and ask about XC3 and PRI issues.

4.0 is the first rel PRI was supported
6.1 has most of the bugs ironed out
