If someone can answer this, thanks in advance! I recently installed an ASA 5510 (ASA Version 7.0(4), ASDM Version 5.0(4)) and have IPSec VPN configured for remote users. Is there a way to have the ASA authenticate these users directly against a group in Active Directory? I've done some digging around, and it looks possible, but I can't find a good doc to detail how to do it. I know I can use RADIUS and IAS, which is my backup plan if I can't use a direct tie in with AD. Any links would be helpful.

Thanks again

Pix/ASA does NOT support authentication via LDAP/Active Directory. You will need checkpoint for that.

However, Pix will authenticate remote access users via ISA
Radius or Microsoft IAS. The easiest thing to do is to
integrate IAS with Microsoft Active Directory. That is
definitely doable.
