Hello,

I am in a troubleshooting situation regarding a few Cisco AS5800's running IOS version 12.3(10). There are channelized DS3's conn'ed to the AS5800's to support incoming dialup modem calls over the T1 channels.

I have noticed alot of syslog messages that state T1's are dropping, in addition to a controller message regarding firmware:

May 8 21:15:25.052: %DIAL1-2-MSG:
May 9 01:15:24.055: %CONTROLLER-2-FIRMWARE: Controller Received remote alarm on, line 0 slot 1
May 8 21:15:24.052: %CONTROLLER-5-UPDOWN: Controller T1 1/1/0:1, changed state to down
May 8 21:15:36.212: %CONTROLLER-5-UPDOWN: Controller T1 1/1/0:1, changed state to up

I have checked the Channelized DS3 (show controller t3) and confirmed that specific T1 has no errors at all, and in addition when looking at the output of show controller t3 I am not seeing any unavailable seconds for that T1 or any of the T1's that show this error.

Does anyone know of any code issues with AS5800's and 12.3(10) or have you run into this before? If the T1 were failing I would expect to see some low-level errors including unavailable seconds.

Thanks,

Rainman
