I have the above cisco connected over the network to an RS/6000, I also have several serial connections out of the RJ ports connected to the S1 port on another RS/6000.
The above works most of the time, but I had to add clocal to stty attributes of the serial port on the RS/6000 to allow a login to be seen.
Once connected I then disconnect, and if I then try to connect again I get a message saying connection refused or not available, then after about 10 attempts it reconnects again. Also in the error log I see a lot of ttyhog errors appearing due to overruns.
I am using the supplied db9 adapter and cables and configure the port as follows
flowcontrol hardware
transport input all
speed 9600
modem inout
Also once I manage to get a login prompt, I cannot break out except by pressing the ctrl-[ which suspends the telnet session, the break key on the cisco ^^x does not work, I have tried chaning the escape parameter but cannot get the break signal to work.
Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Julian
