Cisco AP on Existing Network

I'm using a Netgear Pro Safe wireless router as my main router, I'm trying to add an aironet 350 to the mix to increase the range, it is harwired to the Netgear router.
When a wireless device try to connect to the AP, there is an error to the effect of, the Algorithm is not compatible (I don't have it in front of me. Anyone have a step by step configuration for this setup, I've tried the Cisco site, but seems confusing.
