Hi,

not sure if this is the right forum but here goes. I am a newbie witht he cisco routers/switches.

My question is - we have 2 aironets at work (installed a while before i started).

How would i find the aironets ip address's so i can look at the configs and configure WEP

I tried looking at the switch they are conected to but i could not figure it out.

Do i connect a console cable from the the aironet to my laptop? of so what address do i connect to?

Any help would be appreciated

From the switch do a "show cdp neighbor detail " and this should show you the address .

If the switch the switch is non cisco then that command won't work and there is no way to tell really without going to the pain of looking at all the mac addresses and seeing which ones may be a cisco associated mac address .

Thanks Guys.

In the end i used cisco network assistant, which picked up all the switches, routers and aironets.

Many Thanks
