Hi
I have a Cisco Aironet 350... runs perfectly fine under Win2000. I cannot get it to work in Linux. There are a number of options out there and those I've tried aren't clear on how to go about doing this.
I've tried kernel 2.6.2, and 2.4.24. 2.6.2 seems like a bad idea as Cisco hasn't released new drivers yet, and all the documentation I've found online is at least a year old.
So, under 2.4.24... how do you get this to work? If I recompile the kernel, do I want to include PCMCIA support or not? Do I want to use the /usr/src/pcmcia-cs-x.x.x package instead? Do I want to include, in the kernel, support for non-ham-radio wireless lan? Do I want to include the kernel driver for the Aironet 350? If I do, how do I load it, or should it load automatically? Do I want to include pcmcia network device support? I might need to use a pcmcia ne2000 compatible card sometime in the future, but for now, just want to get this Aironet working. I also found and downloaded a aironet driver from somewhere, but when I follow the instructions and try to patch the kernel source, it gives an error, even after changing the kernel version in the patch file. Does anyone have a good, reliable, list of steps to get this working??????
Thanks in advance.
