cisco AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 will not power on using POE ports

I have 5 Cisco AP's that will only power up when connected to a switch port with a regular user vlan. As soon as I configur the port to use our wireless network VLAN, the AP's will not power on and will not work. Any ideas? I've never experienced a scenario like this.

Nope can't see where that should make any difference for layer 1 and 2 connectivity . If it has a physical link it should power up.

Do the ports in the wireless vlan come up for regular non-POE devices?

Post here a "show run int" for the switchport both before and after you make your change.
