Cisco 8841 on open standards SIP

I want to use an 8841 on a pure SIP platform off
Of my sip carrier VoIP.ms. I currently can use a SIP 7970 off of their server (which is an advanced asterisk carrier grade switch). Is it possible to use an 8841 In pure sip mode? My local Cisco rep will sell me the phone but cannot offer me any advice on using the phone on pure SIP.

All I need to do is register the 8841 phone via domain, password and user ID information.but I heard its next to impossible. If anyone is willing to help for a small fee, I'd pay.
