Hi all,
I'm using a cisco 877 small business Router on a 10/100 lan network and I'm a newbie so please patience..
I have configured 2 VLANS : The first for private lan and the second for the DMZ.
I have also configured a Reflexive ACL for the VLAN1, my private LAN.
The problem is the following:
When I try to do a scp file transfert (1.5/2Gbyte file size), from two pc on the same VLAN or from two pc placed on the two different
VLAN this operation is too slow max 1/2 Mbps
Both the ethernet ports of the computers are 10/100 Mbps and the FastEthernet ports on my router are configured to Full Duplex 100Mbps.
So I'm a bit confused, I also enabled debug FastEthernet but this not help me to understand the source of the problem.
I have a switch connected to a FastEthernet port 0 (private lan) of the cisco 877 : NetGear Prosafe F116 and a D-Link switch connected
to a FastEthernet port 1 (DMZ). Can one of these switch to be the cause of the problem?
I also tried to bypass NetGear Prosafe F116 and connect a pc directly to a FastEthernet 0 but with the same result. Max scp file transfert
1/2 Mbps.

Tell me if needed more details.

thanks

Have you hard-coded the PC's to 100Mbps Full duplex?
I know you won't get 100Mbps inter-VLAN routing through the 871 as it just isn't powerful enough, however I would expect more than 1/2Mbps.

Connect the two PCs with a cross-over cable and baseline the max performance you can get.

Check every switch port involved in the data transfer and document
- how each is configured
- what speed each is running at.
- what errors are logged in the interface statistics
