Cisco 801 Outlook Timeouts

We have a couple of remote sites, with Cisco 801 routers connected to remote internal LAN. The dial via Satellite ISDN 64K channel, to our main site. Each client on remote site, is set up on LAN connection, with gateway being the 801 router. We have it configured so that when network traffic is initiated from one of the client pcs, the Cisco dials. This is working , except for the fact that in some software, i.e. MS Outlook, when you hit 'send/receive' Outlook is expecting the connection to the server to soon, and results in an error. Only after, and clicking send/receive again can the connection proceed. Is there any way to configure the 801 / remote LAN / Outlook to wait longer for that timeout to occur? Or, can we set up each pc to connect via some sort of a dial up connection instead, thus telling Outlook to wait for the dial-up to complete before giving any errors ?

Any guidance is welcome.

Thanks,

SC
