The router generally works fine, and I understand some of the commands, parameters, etc., which I can get to via a Hyperterminal serial port link. But from where does it pick up the date and time? I have unlimited access ISP account for weekdays 6pm through to 8am next morning, and all weekday. However, the router appears to stops sending out at 7:30am on weekdays, and I cannot work out where it is storing this parameter. A printout of the router configuration shows amongst others:-

time-range TIME
periodic daily 0:00 to 23:59

Any clues as to where this 7:30am cut off is being stored? And do I need to worry about adjustments when it come daylight saving time?

Routers can use NTP or SNTP to adjust their time, the time servers are usually provided by the ISP though you don't have to use their servers, since there are hundreds of such servers on the net. I think this process is taking place at the other end where your router is terminating and your ISP has put mechanism in place to do this.
