Hi
I have a Cisco 800 Series ISDN Router. I have configured a p2p connection with my internet provider. So my modem dial the number and start the connection when needed.
But I would like to stop my router to answer any incoming call.
So the router should be able to dial out only.

Any helps will be appreciated

Regards from Italy

Andrea

access-lists---called DoD (Dial on Demand).

Sorry burtsbees, but I haven't understand.
What does "called DoD" means ? Is it a command ?
Do I need to associate an access list to the BRI interface ?

DDR, sorry.

router(config-if)#dialer-list 1 prot ip permit list 101
router(config)#access-list 101 deny tcp any any eq telnet
router(config)#access-list 101 deny tcp any any eq ftp
router(config)#access-list 101 permit ip any any

Something like that. No ftp or telnet traffic will trigger the link in this example. Many examples of DDR on Cisco's site---just Google it.

Hi burtsbees
Thank you for the advice, but I think is not the right solution I'm looking for.
I don't need to filter outbound traffic but I only would the router stop answering inbound calls on the phone line.

An acl the other way then.
