I have a Nortel 1140e with a GN Netcom headset that works fine. I need to be able to move that to a Cisco 7962 as we upgrade. During testing we discovered that the GN Netcom did not work on the Cisco. Is there a different cord that we need or can we change the end to a different pin out? Is it possible that we have missed a setting on the Cisco phone to enable the headset port on the back?

The netcom has settings on it, try changing those or have you tried that already?
It is not a pinout issue.

Thanks. My headset does not have any setting on it so I'll have to get something new I guess. When I activate the headset button on the 7962 and make a call the mic works on the headset but I do not get any sound out of the earpiece (which is why I was thinking it was a pinout issue). I'll order something from GN and see what happens.

Thanks for your feedback.
