Here's a strange one. I have a single Cisco 7940 that unregisters daily. The phone is configured exactly the same as all of the other phones in the environment. I have changed the phone itself, all of the cables, the port on the wall, as well as the port on the 4510 switch and still the phone continues to reboot once or twice daily. Not sure what to do at this point. I’m running CCM 4.1 (3) sr3a.

Any suggestion out there? Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you already did everything you could. Replaced location, replaced cables, and tried another port. I would replace the phone. Do you have Cisco SmartNet?

Hey jeter, did replace the phone. That's why I'm so stummped. Can't seem to figure this one out. As a last ditch try I increased the keepalive on the switchport. Maybe this will help.

Cisco doesn't offer smartnet on phones.

Hope this helps.

No SmartNet on VoIP phones!!! We have been replacing phones for several years now with SmartNet....

Where did you get your information?

You get smartnet on phones, we have em on our 7971 phones... We had the option on the 7940's but the one year warranty was good enough.

Try deleting the phone and rebuilding it. Seems to be the only thing you haven't tried.
Also there is another SR for CCM 4.1.3 so load that either before you rebuild it or after if the rebuild doesn;t fix it. The SR probably won't make a difference for a single phone but......I'd put it on anyway.
