Cisco 7906 phone on CM3.1

Does anyone know if I can register a Cisco 7906 phone on an Avaya S8700 running CM3.1. If so, please let me know where I can find the config notes.

I don't know for sure but I would think the 7906 would have to be the SIP model and your Avaya system would also have to have support for SIP.

Your CM has to have SIP for it to work

Only SIP. We just configured one in the office. Except Im running into issues because my SIP server is 3.0 and my CM is 4.0 so I need to get my SIP server upgraded as IM is the only supported feature between my two running OS's.
