I have a 7204 cisco router with an OC3 card.Currently the rx and tx load is often at 150/155 145/155 during the day..The problem is the output drops is increasing my 5000 each 5 min cpu interval.

But last friday the router began to hang, I rebooted it and it started working again..On Tuesday the router hung again...After doing some research the cpu often spikes and all the buffers are being used from small to huge...All buffers have errors. Below is a snap shot of the buffers and cpu history..What are some root problems I should the look at...The current engine for the 7204 is NPGE 1.

Post a sh proc cpu

/

tim@tim-laptop ~ $ sudo apt-get install windows
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package windows...Thank Goodness!

doesn't show any spikes during the 5 sec 1min or 5 min intervals
