Cisco 400m Console

Hello I'm having a bit of trouble consoling into my Cisco 400m's at home.. I got a NUll Modem cable to console into them (DB9 at one end and DB25 at the other) And i am thinking that that is the culprit.. Can any body confirm ?? Thanks
