cisco 4006 routing question

Will i be able to route between vlans, such as having clients on 10.10.10.x be able to communicate with clients on 10.10.20.x 'without' having bought the Layer 3 Services Module? (ws-x4232-l3)

No you can't, not unless you have a router plugged into the switch and have it as the gateway. That's the only way. You'll have to configure the router to "route on a stick".
