I recently (mistakenly) installed a Cisco 4.0 client on my Windows 2000 machine. It was a mistake as I know the 4.0 client will not work with the VPN server we are using. I needed to install the 3.6.2 client. So, I uninstalled the 4.0 client, then tried to install the 3.6 client. It will not install, as it has found something that indicates the 4.0 client is still present. I've cleaned out the registry, I've cleaned out any directories that were created, I've looked at the windows support / software install/unistall list to make sure it's not there.
Can anyone tell me what the installer is finding to kick off this error message? There's nothing in the device manager, or network neighbourhood. Why can't I install the 3.6.2 client now??
