I was renaming a text file in the flash directory. I renamed the vlan.dat file, the config.txt, and the private-config.txt. I messed up on renaming the last file name. Then I tryed to do it again. When I tryed it, it said something like "no such directory." So i tryed it again and it came up again no such directory.

1. How can i get that private-config txt file renamed if the switch says no such directory?
2. I powered it down, and if i power it up later on, will the switch resolve the issue on its own?

I am not very cisco savy, so any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

i.e. siwtch:rename flash:vlan.dat flash:vlan.old
switch:rename flash:config.txt flash:config.old
switch:rename flash:private-config.txt flash:private-confg.old
i.e. i missed a character ^
<rename old new> something like that came up, so i tryed it again

switch:rename flash:private-config.txt flash:private-config.old
no such directory

switch: dir flash:
..........
config.old
private-config.txt <<< but it still says its in the directory
vlan.dat << i can not rename it though

mistake...

switch: dir flash:

config.old
private-config.txt
vlan.old***
