Just purchased a used Cisco 3725 router and want to install additional ethernet ports. I have 2 NM-1FETX cards and 1 NM-2FE2W from a 3640. From what I can tell the 1FETX is not supported on the 3725 but the 2fe2w should be. IOS is 12.4(3). Should this IOS support this card?

From show version:
Cisco IOS Software, 3700 Software (C3725-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(3), RE
LEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
Technical Support: Copyright (c) 1986-2005 by Cisco Systems, Inc.

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r)T2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Router uptime is 46 minutes
System returned to ROM by power-on
System image file is "flash:c3725-advipservicesk9-mz.124-3.bin"

Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2M

Here it states that both are compatible...

HOWEVER, the minimum IOS main deployment release is 12.4(3e), yours is a bit too low. Also, you need 128MB DRAM and 64MB flash. You have to be a registered user to see this page on Cisco.com, but I can try and copy/paste...it will look goofy in this post, so I will try and make a Word doc and attach it...
