I have a problem that I was hoping someone in the CISCO world could help me with. I have a Cisco 3616 at this time it has two t-1s from the local telephone company. I would like to eliminate them and just use a t-1 from a NORTEL opt 81c Rel 3 PBX. Has any one ever tried this ? Thanks in advance

r u trying to eliminate the router then and put the Circuits directly into the Nortel? Are they voice or data circuits?
I am not sure I understand your question. Can u be more detailed?

We are trying to eliminate the telco circuits and use the nortel pbx. The CISCO device is used for remote access and dial out. We would like to have the T-1 from the PBX go into the CISCO. This way when they dial out they use the PBX. I hope this give you a little more info

Yes you should be able to do that. T1 x-over cables from the nortel to the router module and matching configuration should do it.
What type of module do the telco circuits terminate into the router?

That I don't know. I would have to check with the network guy. All I know is there is a pri from the telcom terminate in the back of the unit. (I think that must be a t-1 card) Thanks again. I will let you know if I get this to work
