Hello all, hope everyone is having a good day. Not really a config question, just a high level view of something. Lets say I have a Cisco 3660 and a PIX 515 (which I don't, just curious). Would the Pix sit behind my router next to my internal network? Would all incoming and outgoing traffic flow through the PIX if it is behind my router? Also, If I was doing NAT and port forwarding, would my router handle those functions or would the PIX take care of that for me?

Thanks for any help, and please be as indepth as you need to be.

I GREATLY appreciate it!

Your router should be on the outside. With the PIX on the inside. I presume the router is connected to the internet. Connect the internet line to the router and the ethernet int of the router to the pix. The pix will handle all nat and forwarding.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
