Cisco 3640

I have a cisco 3640. Is it worth it to get a VIC 2E/M for it. What can be done with it. I am studying for the CCNA and I know that's not applicable, but just for some fun. The 3640 only has 1 10Mbs Ethernet. I just got Two WIC-1T cards. One is in one router, the other is in this one. Any idea's on what I can do in terms of voice?

Hi,

What you can do with the 3640 regarding voice will depend on the ios version, amount of flash , amount of memory you have installed and also you will need a voice carrier module for the VIC- 2E/M you have, The VIC-2E/M won't be regocnised by the wan carrier module that the wic cards go on.

That is my 3640. I do believe my IOS supports it. Could you elaborate on what you where saying "voice carrier module for the VIC-2E/M"
