I have just had a 3640 access server put on my desk and been told to configure it so it can be used for ISDN dial up. I am a bit confused, it has one 10/100 10BaseT port on the back and two CTRLR interfaces. Do I just connect from the 10/100 port into my Catalyst switch and then from one of the CTRLR interfaces to the ISDN box?
I am a bit confused as to how these actually work, any info on what these devices actually do would be a great help.

Thanks very much,

Daniel

I would advise in getting an ISDN wic card, for your dial up. What are you really wanting to do with the isdn line? Jeter@LasVegas.com

We are going to use it as a dial in box. I guess, we would just plug it into an ISDN wall mounted box and people would dial into that number. Any views on where to place this box in the network?

So would I need an ISDN WAN card to connect to the ISDN box?

An ISDN box as in a wall mounted box where the ISDN line is presented !

Would the CTRLR interface connect to that?
