Cisco 2950 anb 3Com switch 3000

I need replace the 3com switches I have with cisco 2950 but can't do it all at once. Can the 3com 3000 switch talk with the cisco 2950 over fiber?

The 3Com is the fiber collector and I want to used it until we cut over. Will the cisco 2950 with fiber module talk with 3com? I am using vtp.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
