Greetings Cisco Gurus

I am a bit of a newbie to the Cisco world so i wuld greatly appreciate any help you may offer.

We recently installed new 2950T-24 switches into our LAN so that we could do VLans.

However, we still have some older 2950-24 switches, (Ones without Gigabit Uplinks) used within the LAN.

My question is: -
Is it possible to upgrade the IOS of these switches onto the EMI image as oppoesed to the SMI image that they were originally shipped in.

Cheers

Seems you need to purchase the EMI upgrade:

"All software updates are FREE, except customers must purchase the EMI software upgrade kit (part number: CD-3550-EMI=) when upgrading a switch from the SMI software to the EMI software. Downloads of the SMI and EMI files will be monitored for adherence to this authorization."
