I would like to what SRST will allow me to do in my current setup:

Headquarters:
1.) Call Manager Version 8.5.1 (publisher and subscriber)
2.) Cisco 2900 CUBE Router (i.e dial peers, etc)
3.) SIP Trunking (no Gateway, H.223, etc)
4.) PSTN

Remote Site:
1.)Cisco 2811 - IOS is (C2800NM-ADVSECURITYK9-M), Version 12.4(15)T
2.)IP Phones

Remote Site connects to Headquarters via MPLS. ALL calls goes through Cisco 2811 --> Call Manager --> Cisco 2900 --> Sip Trunking --> PSTN.

My questions are:
1.) I believe I can implement SRST in the remote site. Am I correct?
2.) During a fail-over, I should be able to call the headquarters. But will I be able to make an outside call?

I think the SRST will only help the remote site when they are calling from site to site with my particular setup. Please let me know otherwise.

Thank you very much,

you will need local trunks at the remote site if you want to be able to make calls and since the system will be in fail-over, by definition it means it cannot reach the remote call manager so it will not be able to call the headquarters either. Only calls within the remote site phones the way you are set up now.
So unless you have local trunks at the remote site, you will not be able to achieve much if you implement SRST.

Thanks whykap. That is what I was afraid of. SRST is not much use to my remote office since we can only call each other. Thanks again.
