We have a cisco 2801 and have a /26 internet address tied to it. We do site to site vpn to the 2801 but would like to add as ASA router to do client vpn's to I want to know if I can truck port one of the fast Ethernet ports on the 2801 and assign one of the internet addresses to a port on the ASA

Yes.. or you COULD NAT the address from the 2801 to the ASA making your life easier, the configuration cleaner...
Most of the ASAs these days are 1gig ports.. the FA port and the Gig port on the ASA will need to be hardcoded for speed and duplex to work..

cheeres,

We must go always forward, not backward
