cisco 2620 how do I save configuration

I have a 2620 that I make changes to and they work fine. It gets powered off and back on and the changes are gone...

How can I be sure they are saved, and am I forgetting a step??

Either will save the config. You may also check your configuration register setting. It's the last line of the "show version" output. Should be 0x2102

It can be other values, ya know...like 3922, so long as the term em is set to 115,200 BAUD. I say this because this is what mine is set to to prepare for the fastest delivery of X-MODEM in case tftpdnld fails or is not available
